                  100y^2  +100y   -200        First factor out 100   giving...
 
 
                  100(y^2  +y   -2) ------>   Now factor out what is in parenthesis  
 
 
                  100 (y-1)   (y+2)      giving ---->
 
 
                             Y=1      or    Y=-2
