That's a monomial standing outside the parenthesized group. It should be multiplied by each term within the parentheses, one after another. I ASSUME THAT THIS MONOMIAL SHOULD BE "3x squared times y"
Distributing the monomial onto the first term within parentheses, you get all of these factors, multiplying:
3 xx y 5 x x x y which should become 15 x5y2
Next, you'd get all of these factors, multiplying, including a - sign:
- 3 xx y 2 xx yy HERE I ASSUME THAT THE MIDDLE TERM (within parentheses) HAS A Y SQUARED FACTOR
which should become -6x4y3

NOTE: PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN KEYING IN EXPRESSIONS--make sure that exponents are "RAISED" & also take care with parentheses to control proper order of operations. Mistakes in format really louse up the readability!
