The formula for slope intercept form is y2-y1 over x2-x1 and y=mx+b
x1=1, x2=5, y1=-2, y2=14
m=14-(-2)/5-1
=16/4
=4
m=4
y=mx+b
14=4(1)+b You can pick any x or y. Perfer the easiest number to solve.
14=4+b
10=b
Now writing in the final slope intercept form: y=4x+10
If you want to graph it, then go up 10 on y-axis because it is a positive number and right 4.
