Well, it depends on what we mean by "stable" government. Because the two-party system is more efficient at managing and legislating than the multiparty system, governments under a two-party system would be more "stable". The two-party system makes voting easier for voters and fosters greater agreement.
Arguably, some demerits of a multiparty system are a Waste of resources and unhealthy political rivalry.
