x + 3/x² - 3x - 10

 

As stated, x cannot equal 0

I believe you left off the parenthesis to show grouping in the denominator:

 

(x+3)/(x²-3x-10)

 

The values where this will be undefined is wherever the denominator equals zero.

Factoring the denominator we get:

 

x²-3x-10 = (x-5)(x+2)

Setting that equal to zero either  x=5 or x=-2

 

The values for which this is undefined are:  x=5, -2
