When I graph inequalities, I first look at it as an equality.
In this case that would be x=5.
Now the graph of x=5 is a vertical line through the x-axis at x=5.
Since the original problem ix x≤5, I can make this a solid line.
FYI, if the problem is x<5, a strict inequality, make it a dotted/dashed line
Now that we have our line, we need to shade the area that is represented by the inequality.
Since x≤5, shade the area where x≤5. In this case, the shaded area would be all the area to the left of the vertical line.
