multiply x and 4 on both sides and divide everything by 3. x=(15/2)*(4/3)

The easiest way to approach this problem is like this.
1) Cross multiply. So you say (2X times 3)=(15 times 4).
2) Multiply what you can and meanwhile just leave the X as is. So now 2 times 3x= 6x And 15 times 4 = 60
3) Now we have 6x=60.
4) Isolate X by dividing both sides by the number next to x. 6x/6=x and 60/6=10. Now we have x=10
