Mark has collected 300 football cards and 264 baseball cards. He wants to divide them into piles so that each pile only has one type of card, there is the same number of cards in each pile, and each pile has the greatest possible number of cards. How many cards will be in each pile?

Find the greatest common factor of 300 and 264
300 = 12(25)
264 = 12(22)
The greatest common factor is 12
We should have 25 stacks of football cards
and 22 stacks of baseball cards for a total
of 47 stacks, each with 12 cards in it.
