To find the total wall area that needs to be painted, you find the sum of the area for each wall and subtract the area of the windows and the door
Wall Area = 15.5 * 12 * 2 + 25.25 * 12 * 2 - 2 * 2 * 4.5 - 8 * 5
Wall Area = 371 + 606 - 17 - 40
Wall Area = 920 square ft
Ceiling Area is just the area of the ceiling
Ceiling Area = 15.5 * 25.25
Ceiling Area = 391.375
Since there are two coats, you need to cover 920 * 2 square feet for the walls which is 1840 square ft
Divide that by the amount each gallon can cover to get 4.6 gallons
For the ceiling, you need to cover 391.375 * 2 square feet which is 782.75 square feet
Divide that by the area each gallon can cover to get about 1.96 gallons
