The graph has a slope m=-6 and a y-intercept (0,9).
Ann, you wrote y instead of m;
I used the statement before that to assign the slope; so by definition
slope= RISE/RUN, in this case it is DROP, slope is negative, m =(-6/1)
- Plot the y-intercept, (0,9), from this point
- Drop 6 to (0,3) then move right 1 to (1,3), PLOT this point; then
- Drop 6 to (1,-3) then move right 1 to (2,-3). PLOT this point [this step optional]
- Now connect your points using a straight edge.
