Hi Ketaki, You're absolutely right; the least possible dimension could be 1 cm. I never even thought about that.
However, now that you enlightened me, if 1 cm was the answer then what's the point of the problem ? I would think that the problem was presented so that the number 216 would have to be factored and then several combinations of dimensions could be found. I really never thought of 1 cm because it's the trivial answer, but then again, I could be all wrong. Anyway, now all possibilities are given.

Hi Arthur,
when I read the problem for the first time I couldn't think of one possible answer .
when I saw your solution which you based on the numbers being whole, I thought atleast the problem has some base now.
i liked your solution .and thought that 1 could also be a possible dimension.
Please dont take it otherwise.
actually the problem should have been more explicit. it should be told if the package is really a cuboid or not also.
