S - Ph = 2B

Reagan, this takes practice, but is easier than it seems.

 

We are looking to get B = "something".  We solve it just like regular algebra, but we don't have only numbers to deal with.

 

First, we have to subtract both sides by Ph.  We end up with S - Ph = 2B

 

Since we are solving for B, we divide both sides by 2.  We end up with (S-Ph)/2 = B
