We can start off by giving these integers a name. The smaller of the two, let's call n. The next consecutive integer would be n+1. Five times the smaller of the two is 5*n. Three times the larger is 3*(n+1). The equations is then
5*n + 3*(n+1) = 59
Solve for n to get the smaller one. Add one to it to find the larger.
