To find the equivalent ratios, we multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number.
One ratio is
(17 / 19) * (2 / 2) = 34 / 38
Another ratio is
(17 / 19) * (3 / 3) = 51 / 57
A third ratio is
(17 / 19) * (4 / 4) = 68 / 76

Isn't it interesting that we have the tendency to multiply by 2, 3, and 4, when writing 170/190 is so very easy.
