Let's do this by quadratic equation    x = -b/2a ±(√(b2-4ac))/2a

x2+4x-437=0    a=1   b=4   c=-437

x = -4/2 ±√(42-4(-437))/2
x= -2 ±(√(16+1748))/2
x= -2 ±(√1764)/2
x = -2 ± 42/2
x=-2 ± 21
x = 19 or -23

Since x is a positive integer....  x = 19
