You'll want to simplify the equation and then solve for x.
12v-vx=vx+6v
+vx to both sides
12v = 2vx + 6v
-6v from both sides
6v = 2vx
Divide both sides by v (note you could divide by 2v to combine two steps here)
6 = 2x
Divide both sides by 2
3 = x
So if they are asking for the value of x, the answer is c. 3
