Solve the following applications

The first row of an amphitheater contains 50 seats, and each row
thereafter contains 8 additional seats. Write the first ten terms
of this arithmetic progression and find the number of seats in
the tenth row.

So for this problem do I keep adding 8 into each row? such as 50 turns into 58 then 58 turns in 66 etc?

You are on the right tract.  An "Arithmetic Sequence" is a list of numbers where the change from one term to the next is constant.

So, starting with 50 seats, you add 8 seats for each subsequent row.  "Each row thereafter contains 8 additional seats" means "Each row thereafter contains 8 seats more than the previous row."
