three consecutive numbers are represented by x,x+1,x+2 if the middle number is 44 what are the other two numbers?

Three consecutive numbers add to 24 write an equation in terms of x to show this

x = 43
x + 1 = 44
x + 2 = 45
 
x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 24

My keyboard (actually, I try to write in MS word then copy/paste into this box) has a similar problem.
  x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 24  That must be a typo.    43 + 44 + 45  = 132

Well, maybe the middle number is 4+4  ??

The first question asks what the three numbers are. The sum is not requested
The second question asks for an equation.
They are two different questions.

Two questions works fine;  this reminds me of a juxtaposition.   Usually, students ask questions with a title and text.
 
Thus, in your two answers, the x's are different.   THX for clarification !
