Set up the division.

(x2 + 3x) | 5x4 + 18x3 + 10x2 + 3x
 
 
 
Now divide.
 
                           5x2  +  3x  +  1
               _____________________
(x2 + 3x) | 5x4 + 18x3 + 10x2 + 3x 
                 5x4 + 15x3                                
              _____________________
                            3x3 + 10x2 + 3x
                            3x3 +  9x2
                         ________________
                                         x2 + 3x
                                         x2 + 3x
                                     ___________
                                                 0
 
The quotient is  5x2 + 3x + 1
The remainder is 0
