The divisor is (x - c) = (x - 2). The Remainder Theorem:
P(x) / (x - c) = Q(x) + R / (x - c) , multiply both sides by (x-c):
P(x) = (x - c) Q(x) + R, P(c) = (c - c) Q(c) + R, R = P(c), so
P(x) = (x - c) Q(x) + P(c)
=> Divide P(x) by (x - c) and the remainder is P(c).
