When we make a table of values, we look for the domain and range. I should have mentioned this in a question you posted similar to this one.
Since your function has no denominator, your values of x and y are limitless. A table of values has an x value and y value respectively.
To make a table of values, choose any value of x. Plug it into the function to determine y.
Here is an example:
Let's choose x=0. Plug in 0 where ever you see x in the function.
y = -4(0)2 + 14(0) + 1
y = 0 + 0 + 1
y = 1
The first value in the table is
x = 0, y = 1
Lets do another one. Choose x = 1.
y = -4(1)2 + 14(1) + 1
y = -4(1) + 14 + 1
y = -4 + 14 + 1
y = 11
The second value in the table is
x = 1 , y = 11
Keep repeating this process, and you will have your table of values.
