Fraction help

A band estimated that when a random ticket holder is invited on stage, there is a 1/4 chance that the person will be under 18 years old, and a 1/3 chance that the person will be over 30 years old. The band also estimates that half of its fans at any age are men and the other half are women. If they band invites a random ticket holder onstage, what is the probability that this person is a woman between 18 and 30?

Ha, Jon thanks for your help.  Word problems, right?!  It's a "math for musicians" class--so all the questions are related to performance issues/music issues.

Yeah, I noticed the music theme, but I figured it was just a quirk of the teacher.  I hope the math isn't too hard for you guys!

The thing that had me laughing about this particular question was the subplot -- the band figuring out how to meet young women at their shows!

Shouldnt the 2 probabilities be multiplied instead of adding them. ie 1 - (1/4 * 1/3) = 1 - 1/20 =19/20 . Since they are said above 19 and below 30?
