I assume the expression is written as
[(7/5) + (3/10)] / [(6/11) - (1/22)]
Lets work with fractions in the first bracket.
(7/5) + (3/10)
We cannot add our subtract fractions with different denominators. We need to find the lowest common denominator (LCD). The LCD is 10.
(14 / 10) + (3/10) = 17 / 10
We do the same thing to the second bracket.
(6/11) - (1/22)
The LCD is 22.
(12 / 22) - (1 / 22) = 11 / 22 = 1 / 11
Now, divide the two results.
(17 / 10) / (1 / 11) =
(17 / 10)(11) =
187 / 10 =
