144*(1/8) = 18
There are 18 red apples.
Multiply 144 by 1/4 to get the number of green apples.
144*(1/4) = 36
There are 36 green apples.
Since the rest of the fruits are oranges, subtract the total number of apples from the total number of fruits.
Number of oranges = Total number of fruits - total number of apples
= 144 - (18 + 36)
= 144 - 54
= 90
There are 90 oranges altogether.
