Geometric Sequence Common Ratio

Question

The third term of a geometric sequence is 12 and the fifth term is 16/3. All the terms in the sequence are positive. Calculate the value of the common ratio.

ar⁵=16/3

ar⁵/ar³=(16/3)/12

r²=16/36

r²=4/9

r=2/3 is the common ratio
