But 2C2H6 + 7O2 → 4CO2 + 6H2O means that for every 2 moles of C2H6 it requires 7 moles of O2 to produce 4 moles of CO2 and 6 moles of H2O
To determine the grams of CO2, calculate the molar mass of CO2 from the Periodic Table:
C = 12.011 g/mol
O = 15.999 g/mol x 2 = 31.998 g/mol
CO2 = 12.011 g/mol + 31.998 g/mol = 44.009 g/mol
Multiply the number of moles of CO2 by 44.009 g/mol to get the number of grams
