Re-precipitation of Aspirin can be done by adding a diluted acid solution to a solution containing Acetyl salicylate. Acetyl salicylate is soluble in an aqueous solution since it is a polar/charged molecule and when adding milder acid carboxylate is going to convert into carboxylic acid. Acetyl Salicylic is not very soluble in aqueous solution like the salt so it's going to precipitate out form the solution.
