4x/(2x+3)+6/(2x+3)
1) You already have a common denominator of (2x+3) so we can add the 2 fractions together to get:
(4x+6)/(2x+3)
2) Factor a 2 out of (4x+6) to give
2(2x+3)/(2x+3)
3) Since (2x+3)/(2x+3)=1 then 2(2x+3)/(2x+3) = 2* 1 = 2
