Some requests for assistance simply say things like "I need help with Excel" or "I'm taking a college class in Excel and need help." "I need to learn Microsoft Office." It is rare for me to respond to those replies. Why? Because the request gives me no clue what the student is looking for.
I am an expert in Excel. I have taught it for years from beginner classes all the way through a 5 day VBA class for advanced users. I have developed webinars that focus on spreadsheet navigation, pivot tables, consolidation, conditional formatting and other topics.
However, there ARE features in Excel that I am NOT proficient in: What-if scenarios using the scenario manager. Statistical functions (I hate stats). Advanced charting (I'm fine with simple charts but when you get into time-line charts and statistical data sets I stumble). Advanced Power Query (I'm learning, and feel confident that I can figure out just about anything in Power Query but only with the help of considerable you-tube videos from other helpful souls when we're talking about advanced M coding!)
Help find the right tutor by adding a brief description of what you need to focus on! Let us know if it is help related to a course of study, job related, or just personal skills advancement. Some examples:
- I need to learn how to create formulas and/or to understanding formulas my coworkers created.
- Help me learn pivot tables for use on my job. I've been told they can help me but I'm not familiar with them/
- My charts don't give me what I'm looking for – pie charts are solid, bar charts don't give me what I thought I was asking for
- I'd like to learn more about the macro recorder. I’m a student just learning Excel but I have programming background and I think this might be something I'm interested in.
- I'm using VBA on my job but often get stuck. I'm looking for coding fundamentals – particularly when working with multiple csv files.
