Draw the situation out. Let's call the width of the frame x.

The area of the frame will be x(2(L+2x) + 2W) from the sum of the rectangular areas formed.

The areas being equal means that this area is 150 in²

Subbing in for L and W (It doesn't matter which is which)

x(2(15+2x)+20) = 150

x(50 + 4x) = 150

4x² + 50x -150 = 0

Use quadratic formula: x = 5/2
