One of the simplest ways to help manage stress is to use a breathing strategy called 4-7-8 breathing. This is a very simple breathing exercise that will reduce anxiety and stress.
1) Inhale 4 seconds
2) Hold breath 7 seconds
3) Exhale 8 seconds.
You can repeat this process several times until you begin to feel less stress, anxious, and an increase in relaxation. This breathing strategy can be done at home, work, school, and in public.
