DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION QUESTION FROM CLASS 12TH MATHS

Solve the differential equation :-

dy/dx = e^tany

Luke J.

I'm just going to say it, I'm not very sure that this is possible. I tried just running the integral of e^-tan(x) on an online integral calculator and I don't think it can happen; I'm going to continue to look into it but this may not be possible

If we use separation of variables, we get a non-elementary integral in y in terms of the exponential integral function.
