25 g of chlorine is equals to 25/71 =0.352 mole.
29 g of sodium is equals to 29/23=1.261 mole.
Sodium reacts with chlorine in 2:1 molar ratio.
So, 1 mole of Cl2 reacts with 2 mole of sodium.
i. e., 0.352 mole of Cl2 will react with 2×0.352 mole of sodium= 0.704 mole of sodium.
Since, sodium is present in excess, chlorine is the limiting reagent.
1 mole Cl2 produces 2 mole NaCl
0.352 mole Cl2 will produce 0.704 mole NaCl= 0.704×58.5=41.18 g NaCl.
Yield= 41.18/(29+25)
= 41.18/54
= 0.76 Or 76%

HInt - convert grams to moles use molar ratio from coefficients to get product. Repeat for second reactant to find which gives LESS - that is the limiting reagent. Then take those grams and comare to the max possible (if there was enough of both reagents)12/23/21
