We factor using the FOIL method. This means that our factor will be a product of two binomials.
(x + a)(x + b)
Select pairs of numbers a and b that will give you a product of 24 and a sum of -4.
We cannot factor this because even though there are numbers that give the product of 24, those same numbers will not give you the sum of -4.
