How do I link data in one worksheet to another?

Question

Reduce time required to prepare Excel worksheets by inputting data into a primary worksheet and then linking other worksheets to it. This will not only reduce preparation time, but also reduce the possibility of errors resulting from the re-entry of the same data multiple times.

To link one Excel worksheet to another:

(1) In the Excel worksheet where you would like data to be imported to, click on cell where you want the data to appear.

(2) Then to link to another worksheet, click on the Excel worksheet where data is currently residing.

(3) Then click on the cell with the data that you would like to export to your new worksheet.

You should now be able to see the imported data in your new worksheet.

Yvonne nailed it. You could also copy the data on the sheet where the data currently resides-- Then go to the sheet where you want the linked data to reside--- Then do Paste Special---Paste Link. Now when you change the data on the original sheet it will update on the sheet where you just pasted it as a link.
