I teach history and help you understand our world today.
There are several factors behind the longevity of the US Constitution. One main reason the US Constitution has survived, while many countries have had to change theirs often, is that the US Constitution is highly flexible and adaptible. This has allowed the Constitution to remain relevant after over 230 years, which is commonly called a "living document" because it can be applied to a world of automobiles and computers, which the Founders never even imagined in the 1700s.
