From the balance equation you learn the mole ratio of C6H6 to CO2 is 2:12
Covert grams of C6H6 to moles
17g C6H6 x (78g / 1 mole C6H6) = 0.2179 moles C6H6
find moles of CO2 using mole ratio above
0.2179 moles C6H6 x (12 moles CO2 / 2 moles C6H6) = 2.61 mole of CO2
Convert moles back to grams
2.61 moles CO2 x (44 g x 1 mole) = 114.84 g of CO2

What about the ratio of 2:12 ? should the .2179 be multiplied by 6 to equal 1.307 x 44?02/05/21
