Question #1: you need to either solve this system of 2 equations for each variable x and y (b is really y) or you substitute the value of x in each equation, and you will find y.

 

Question #2: If 25 students receive a snack at $1.50 per snack, that means it will cost the school just for snacks without delivery, $37.50.  If the school spent $42.25, it means that the delivery charge will be $42.45 - $37.50 = $4.75

 

Question #3: S = UT + 1/2 AT²

You subtract UT from both sides of the equation in order to isolate A on one side of the equation

S - UT = 1/2 AT²

You multiply each side of the equation by 2

2S - 2UT = AT²

You divide each side of the equation by T²

(2S - 2UT)/T² = A (Answer is C)
