asked 03/30/20Tax information
Good Afternoon,
I am a nonprofit program coordinator and our organization has been using Wyzant to assist some of our members with online tutorial services. For tax purposes, should we obtain a w-9 from the tutor or should we get something directly from Wyzant?

Wyzant pays the Tutors and sends them a 1099.
Wyzant, Inc. Is a Deleware corporation operating in the state of Illinois. per the Secretary of state of Illinois.
Corporations do not receive 1099s. You do not need to issues 1099's to either the tutor or Wyzant. for the services you paid.
I work with many non-profits, feel free to ask if you have other tax or accounting related questions.
