Hi Harriet L.,
The percentage of silver, in a silver-gold alloy is equal to the mass of the silver in the alloy divided by the mass of the alloy times 100, (grams silver / grams alloy)*100.
The mass of the alloy is 58 g silver + 21 g copper = 79 g alloy.
The percentage of silver in the alloy is:
(58 g / 79 g)*100 = 0.734*100 = 73%.
I hope this helps, Joe.
