Every state and every year is different as to the stats for passing the bar. Just like class ranking in law school rarely correlates with passing the bar, there is little correlation with passing the bar and ability to practice law. The bar is merely a test of the minimum legal knowledge required in order to practice. Your learning has just begun. How to run a business and deal with clients and actually appear in court and make argument on behalf of your client takes experience. You wouldn't want a brand new doctor doing brain surgery on you for the first time would you?
How many law school graduates are not able to pass the bar exam? How indicative is their ability to pass the bar of their ability to practice law?
