How can I get Adwords data into Google Sheets/Excel to create reports?

You can export your data from Adwords, but I believe Google has discontinued Google Adwords as of 2020. Google has replaced Google Adwords with Google Ads. Im sure you can still export your data then turn around and import it into Excel using .cvs file or a delimitated .txt file.
