You know something quite interesting? Two against three is a pattern used widely and instinctively by folk or native musicians the world over. The end result is easy to both perform and calculate. Just thing of the following: take two rulers and place them on top of each other. On the top one make a mark on 1, 2, and 3 inches. On the bottom one make a mark at 1 and at 2 and a half Follow those marks like a bouncing ball: 1(L&R)- 2(L) -2.5(R)- 3(L). Use this pattern: Quarter eighth eighth Quarter or one, two and three. There you have it. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to show you via video!
