Are there scales and chord progressions particularly used in Rag music?

I am interested in the underlying scale and chord structures of ragtime music . For example, I was reading in my book Jazzology last night that ii-V-I progressions are frequently used in Jazz. I am interested in the corresponding ones for ragtime music. \n\nAre there scales and chord progressions particularly used in Rag music?

Ragtime evolved from Marches of the Sousa variety.

These all use circular progressions (chords' roots moving up in 4ths).

Strings of circular secondary dominants were quite popular in that era.

Majors, minors, dominants, and diminished. A lot more diminished! Also, very quick I -V relationship in the bassline (the "oopha" bassline).
