Did I Get The Job Already?

"I was going to contact you today actually. Don wants to move forward with you, but he just wants to do a quick meet and greet via skype to see how you present yourself. We wouldn’t be able to make it down to orange county anytime soon, so this is what I am doing with the candidates. If you could, please send me your skype name. If you do not have one, please create one."

This was the email I received today. Prior to this, the same recruiter had a phone screening interview with me a week ago and sent me scenario questions, which I answered and sent back. I also received a call from the hiring manager, who expressed interest in meeting with me. Judging by the fact that the recruiter expressed the hiring manager wanting to move forward with me(in the above email), is this meet-and-greet more of a "welcome to the team" conversation or an interview that I can easily mess up?

Hello Chris, I would say that this is more of a Job Interview (that you cannot mess up if you are prepared)..."We wouldn’t be able to make it down to orange county anytime soon, so this is what I am doing with the candidates." If you are genuinely interested in this position and do not have a Skype account, then should create one. In other words, a Skype Interview is a real interview, and you should prepare for this interview in the same way that you would prepare for a face to face interview. For example, Log onto the site on time (or actually a few minutes before the scheduled time), Dress professionally from the neck down, Plan to interview in a quiet location, and Have a list of questions that you would like to have answered that will help you make a more informed decision about this job opportunity should the Hiring Manager choose to move forward with you.
