The easiest way to determine if you need certifications or a certain level of education is to find jobs that you want and see if you qualify. Most jobs that have requirements list them so you will know right away if you need to acquire additional education. Look at 2-3 jobs to see what is consistent and let that be your guide. Also, if you can find someone in that industry to mentor you that is great too. You may be able to find some on the job training through a mentor.
Will getting a Software Testing Certification benefit me in my career?
I have 2 years of experience in manual testing, and I am currently learning automation testing in my spare time. I was thinking that will getting a foundation/entry testing certification really help me in promotions and increase my salary or just increase my knowledge and nothing more? Even if I wish to try to get certified and pass the exams, is it too late or can I try after a few more years?
Kindly suggest!
