There might be two things you are looking for:
The F keys on a Mac are reachable when you hold down the fn ("function") key at the same time as the key labeled F4 in the top row.
OR
The key labeled F4, when not used as a function key causes the Mac to display your application icons. So it's essentially a shortcut to the Launchpad.
