The ASVAB has 9 sections. General Science covers life, earth, physical, and space science. Arithmetic Reasoning consists of word problems. Word Knowledge tests your ability to identify the correct synonym of a word. Paragraph Comprehension measures your ability to understand information from short passages. Math Knowledge tests your skills in algebra and geometry. Electronics Information addresses electrical current, circuits, and electronic devices. Auto and Shop Information tests your knowledge of auto maintenance and repair, as well as wood and metal shop. Mechanical Comprehension covers mechanical devices such as pulleys, levers, and other simple machines. Assembling Objects tests how well you can think spatially.
