What are play-party songs?

If you are referring to music today, a play party song is for a party for children and consist of simpler, small range tunes for young, beginning singers, typical of nursery rhymes and folk tunes and other songs that children often know. It is quite common for their to be physical activity with it, whether it is clapping, a song like "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" with physical activity, simple dances and other such things. Play party songs must also work well in a group and be easy to learn.
