Hi Crystal--
If y = a certain value called b, it means it's ALWAYS that number.
So let's say that b = 7. That means that your y coordinate will always be 7, which means it will always be plotted 7 points "up".
So even though you might plug in different x values, your y value is never going to change--it will always be whatever value you assign to b.
which means that any (x, y) points you plot will all be the same distance "up" from the horizontal x axis. The line those points form will always be parallel to the x axis, SO...
The graph of y = b will ALWAYS be horizontal.
